  • Beyond Symptoms. Your Path to Lasting Health

At Dao Integrated Health, we offer more than just healing: we offer transformation. We blend the holistic, patient-centered philosophy of integrative medicine with the root-cause focus and diagnostic rigor of functional medicine — crafting a model that is both deeply compassionate and evidence-driven.

We begin by listening. Every patient is more than a collection of symptoms: you are a whole person, with a life story, values, community, emotions, spiritual longings, and environmental influences. From there, we employ advanced lab testing, nutritional assessments, lifestyle audits, and environmental exposure screening — tools drawn from functional medicine — to uncover the underlying imbalances that drive chronic illness, fatigue, autoimmune conditions, pain, and more.

Simultaneously, we use integrative therapies—acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, herbal and energetic modalities, neuro-linguistic psychotherapy, stress-management, lifestyle coaching—to support healing on every level: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. The goal is not only to relieve suffering, but to restore vitality, resilience, and one’s own capacity to heal.

Your treatment plan is deeply personalized. We work together to set health goals meaningful to you. We collaborate with your primary physicians or specialists as needed, honoring traditional and conventional medicine when called for, while also offering alternatives and adjunctive methods. Change is a journey, so we offer ongoing support, education, and community practices (like meditation, mindful awareness, etc.) to reinforce habits that sustain wellness long term.

  • At Dao Integrated Health, we only see two patients an hour for personalized, transformative and whole body healing that produces lasting results. Many offices treat 5 patients an hour, are symptoms focused, and lacks the deep, transformative care that Acupuncture can provide. We provide our patients with the full benefits of TCM with treatments that include: Acupuncture, Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxibustion, therapeutic massage and mind-body-spirit techniques during sessions.

We provide acupuncture in a warm, compassionate environment, integrating both traditional wisdom and modern science. Whether you are seeking relief from pain, support for a complex condition, going through changes in hormones, need stress and anxiety relief, or a path to deeper wellness, our acupuncture offers a gentle yet powerful way to bring your body back into balance.

Acupuncture is a time-honored healing practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, used for thousands of years to restore balance and promote the body’s natural ability to heal. Using very fine sterile needles placed at specific points on the body.

Modern research confirms what ancient practitioners long observed—acupuncture can reduce pain, ease stress, support immune health, improve sleep, and enhance overall well-being. Studies show that acupuncture influences the brain’s pain pathways, releases natural endorphins, and modulates inflammation, making it a safe and effective treatment for both acute and chronic conditions.

  • Electro-Acupuncture: Gentle Stimulation, Stronger Results

Electro-acupuncture is a modern enhancement of traditional acupuncture. After placing fine, sterile needles at specific points, a mild electrical current is applied to gently stimulate them. Patients often describe the sensation as soothing and deeply relaxing.

    Benefits:

    • Enhances natural pain relief by boosting endorphin release

    • Reduces inflammation and improves circulation

    • Helps regulate the nervous system, supporting stress relief and better sleep

    • Commonly used for chronic pain, arthritis, nerve pain, muscle recovery, and even migraines

    Research:
Clinical studies show electro-acupuncture can be more effective than manual acupuncture alone for conditions such as knee osteoarthritis, chronic low back pain, and neuropathy. Research published in Pain Medicine and The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine highlights its ability to decrease pain scores, improve function, and support long-term healing by modulating the brain and spinal cord’s pain pathways.

At Dao Integrated Health, electro-acupuncture offers patients a safe, drug-free option that blends ancient wisdom with modern innovation—helping restore balance and accelerate healing.

  • MicroNeedling:The Wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern skincare innovation.

Microneedling Acupuncture (aka Collagen Induction Therapy), offers a safer, non-toxic option for treating: Wrinkles, Age Spots, Scars, Skin Tone, and Acne, that current harsh treatments, such as Botox or Microdermabrasion cannot offer. Additionally, this non-invasive and cost saving technology offers another avenue for treating Hair Loss.

Microneedling is performed using a handheald, drum or pen shaped device that is electrically powered with tiny needles that make preciese microscopic punctures into the skin. Just like traditional acupuncture, it stimulates the skin to repair through a process called dermal remodeling and produces new collagen.

    Benefits:

    • Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars

    • Improves skin tone, firmness, and texture

    • Boosts collagen and elastin production naturally

    • Enhances absorption of serums and healing nutrients

    • Promotes overall circulation for a radiant, healthy glow

    Research:
Clinical studies published in Dermatologic Surgery and Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology show microneedling significantly improves skin elasticity, reduces scarring, and stimulates collagen growth. When combined with acupuncture principles, results are amplified—supporting both skin health and whole-body balance.

Cosmetic Acupuncture (Facial Rejuvenation) A Natural Approach to Beauty and Balance

Cosmetic or facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a gentle, holistic treatment that enhances your skin’s natural vitality while supporting whole-body health. Using ultra-fine needles on the face and body, it stimulates circulation, boosts collagen, and encourages your skin to renew from within.

    Benefits:

    • Softens fine lines and reduces wrinkles

    • Improves skin tone, texture, and elasticity

    • Reduces puffiness and lifts sagging areas

    • Enhances circulation for a brighter, more radiant glow

    • Promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and supports overall wellness

    Research:
Studies published in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Journal of Acupuncture Research report that cosmetic acupuncture can increase skin elasticity, improve facial muscle tone, and enhance collagen production. Patients not only notice visible improvements in their complexion but also experience better sleep, mood, and energy.

At Dao Integrated Health, MicroNeedling & Cosmetic acupuncture offers safe, drug-free, and natural alternatives to invasive cosmetic procedures—helping you look refreshed and feel renewed.

  • Cupping therapy is a traditional healing practice with roots in Chinese, Middle Eastern, and ancient Greek medicine. It involves creating suction on the skin using cups (glass, silicone, bamboo, or plastic) to stimulate blood flow, release tension, and promote healing. Research into cupping has grown over the past two decades, and, evidence suggests several  benefits:

    • Pain Relief

    • Improved Circulation & Detoxification

    • Reduced Inflammation

    • Immune Support

    • Skin & Fascia Health

    • Relaxation & Nervous System Support

    • Athletic Recovery

    Safety Notes:

    • Generally safe when performed by Licensed Acupuncture practitioners. (Acupuncturists in California are the only Licensed professionals. Everyone else are only Certified)

Gua sha: (pronounced gwah-shah) is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves gently scraping the skin with a smooth tool—often made of jade, rose quartz, or stone. The word “gua” means to scrape, and “sha” refers to the temporary redness or light markings that appear on the skin, showing that circulation has been stimulated.

This therapy has been practiced for centuries in Chinese medicine to relieve tension, move stagnant energy (qi), and support the body’s natural healing processes.

    • Relieves Muscle Tension & Pain

    • Improves Circulation

    • Boosts Immunity

    • Supports Natural Healing

    • Facial Gua Sha for Rejuvenation

    • Stress Reduction

  • What is Moxibustion & What It Does:

Moxibustion is an ancient healing therapy from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that uses the gentle heat from burned mugwort (called “moxa”) applied at specific acupoints on the body. It’s used to warm cold, invigorate the flow of Qi & blood, strengthen the body, reduce pain, support immune health, and promote recovery.

    Key benefits:

    • Pain relief — heating acupoints can help reduce chronic pain, neuropathic pain, joint stiffness.

    • Immune support — boosts immune cell activity, helps regulate inflammatory responses.

    • Digestive, urinary, gynecological benefits — support for conditions like urinary incontinence, regulation of menstrual discomfort, aiding digestion.

    • Cancer support & side-effect reduction — alleviates side effects of chemotherapy/radiotherapy, such as nausea or fatigue; may enhance general well-being.

    • Circulatory & thermal regulation — improved blood flow, warming of cold limbs or cold sensations; helps expel “cold/damp” in TCM paradigms.

    What is Health Coaching?

Health coaching is a collaborative process that empowers individuals to take charge of their health and well-being. A health coach helps clients clarify their goals, uncover what may be holding them back, and create sustainable action steps to improve nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and overall lifestyle. Unlike traditional advice-giving, health coaching is about guiding and supporting lasting behavior change through accountability, education, and motivation.

    • Integrative Medicine Support: We incorporate the best of both Eastern and Western approaches, blending nutrition, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle tools.

    • Personalized Roadmaps: Instead of cookie-cutter plans, we tailor strategies based on your unique biochemistry, health history, and personal goals.

    • Whole-Person Healing: Our coaching focuses not only on physical health, but also on mindset, resilience, and emotional well-being.

    • Ongoing Accountability: You’re supported step by step, with progress reviews, encouragement, and adjustments as your health evolves.
